Another wonderful dog on the sofa painting is complete. A beautiful dachshund lives in this household. He may be slightly overweight and a little cheeky and looks stunning on his favorite chair, leg over the edge and all!! I'm enjoying painting these lovely lucky dogs. This series represents what dogs mean to us and how we have brought them into our lives.

Currently, I am focused on painting some gorgeous, moody landscapes and still lifes in my current work. I am strongly influenced by places and things that are peaceful, melancholy and evoke a feeling of home to me. Landscapes and still lifes are always so charming and make the perfect focal points of my paintings. I hope you enjoy this piece. This painting represents Rochelle's unique style.

The artist often takes inspiration from architecture, nature and landscapes that take the viewer on a journey and bring feelings of warmth and contentment.

This piece was  painted by the artist using professional watercolour grade paints on Arches cold pressed 300 gsm watercolour paper. The artist only uses light-fast supplies of the highest standard to ensure the piece retains its vibrancy and quality.

“I absolutely love the painting I purchased from Rochelle Toomey.

Rochelle's work is so unique and inviting, and the watercolour is even more beautiful in person.”
